friendly reminder! With every school year, there are new families in our school community or families who need to be reminded. That is understandable. Here is one of those reminders. When dropping off or picking up your students, please do not stop or park any further east than the end of our school building. This allows the turn-around circle at the far east end of Toronto Avenue to be left clear for all vehicles to have enough space to turn around. The drop-off and pick-up times at school can be busy, so your cooperation is appreciated. This also applies to the bus loop in the back of our school off Highway #23. Please do not pull into this part of the school. Thank you! attention: parents of grade 12 studentsWe will host our first Grad Meeting of the year on Wednesday, November 1st @ 6:30 p.m. in the Band Room. There are many things to discuss and questions to answer, so please plan on having at least one parent/guardian per graduate at the meeting. appropriate clothing is a must! With the snow and colder temperatures bursting the bubble of our great fall weather, we are strongly encouraging our students to dress for this quick change. Students from K-6 will be expected to be outside for recess; Grades 7-12 Phys. Ed. classes could make use of the outdoors for their classes. These are just two valid reasons for dressing appropriately for the weather. Donation Request We are also asking families to consider donating gently used winter gear to our school. Those donated items will be used by students in our school who don't have appropriate clothing. Thank you, again, for making our school a better (and warmer) place! spirit week - thanks student leadership!welding shop is in tune with the season! The grade 10 welding class has just finished the unit on oxy-acetylene gas fusion welding and now they get to put their new skills to use building a pumpkin. After they shaped their robot bodies with heat guns, the final step was soldering their controllers before some got to test them in the ring. The team is looking forward to adding weight strategically, and making modifications as we aim to participate in the Manitoba Robot Games in March in Winnipeg.
