K-8 families - strong beginnings (sign up online)Strong Beginnings is a MANDATORY assessment that occurs early in September for students in Kindergarten to Grade 8. On Friday, September 16 and Monday, September 19, children will attend school by appointment for approximately 60 minutes to participate in assessment activities. Kindergarten students are asked to book a 30 minute appointment during one of the time slots on Monday, September 19 (No appointments available on September 17). The appointments on these days replace regular classes..so NO classes for Grades K-8 students on Friday or Monday. Grades 9-12 students...we'll see you at school! A Strong Beginnings session is an opportunity for teachers to extend and consolidate their understanding of each child in order to plan for instruction. This, in turn, will effectively address unique learning needs as early as possible in the new school year. All Grades K-8 students need to be registered for Strong Beginnings by Thursday, September 15th. We book online using our Conference Manager software. If you do not have a Conference Manager account, please access the site via our school's website or by clicking here.
