We will miss her, but we wish Mrs. Skoglund and her family the best as they welcome the fifth member to their immediate family. We are very lucky to have found someone special to take over for Mrs. Skoglund while she's away. We welcome Mrs. Cassandra Siemens to our Mavericks' staff. Mrs. Siemens is a recent graduate from Brandon University after she completed degree in Education. Mrs. Siemens is also a former Maverick, as she spent her K-12 years at Morris School. One of Mrs. Siemens' first tasks with the Grades 5/6 class was an Egg Car Project. Designing, and assembling egg cars was a great way to culminate the learning in their forces and simple machines unit in science! The students were tasked with making a car out of recycled materials that had a wheel and axis and that Mrs. Siemens could take the egg in and out of easily. The test was if the car could make it down the ramp without the egg cracking.
