This is the first time they have qualified for provincials in over 10 years. They started the tournament with wins over Prairie Mountain and Carberry to finish 2nd in their pool. On Friday they survived a brutal draw, playing at 9am, 1pm, and again at 9pm in the first game of the playoff round. They won this first playoff game against William Morton in straight sets to qualify for the quarter finals on Saturday against MacGregor. The boys fought hard, coming back from behind twice but fell just short to the Mustangs 25-23 and 25-21. We could not be more proud of these boys and their perseverance, dedication, and hustle throughout the season. Basketball Practices for high school boys and girls will get underway this week. Boys will practice on Mondays and Thursdays, while Girls will be on Tuesdays and Fridays. Grade 7/8's are hanging tight, but will be starting shortly as well. They learnt about different games, how to cook a turkey in a wood stove and what it was like to live without electricity. A message from our custodial & Phys. Ed. StaffLet's keep our gym floor clean together! Now that winter is here, it's very important to wear only clean, dry footwear in the gymnasium. Sidewalk salt and sand that is spread on roads can often get trapped in our shoes, and tracked into the school. These materials are extremely damaging to hardwood gym floors! Please only wear clean, dry footwear in the gym. The exterior doors of the gymnasium should only be used by staff to enter & exit. Thank you for helping keep our school clean and looking nice!
