Friday's snow day brings a new picture dayDue to our unseasonal weather this past Friday, we have planned a new Picture Day. The new date is set for Monday, October 21. Reminders will be sent via social media and next weekend's blog post. We hope to place reminders into our K-6 student's backpacks as well. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Free parent workshopMorris School Food drive begins this week!Students within our school community have the opportunity to look outside themselves and assist those in need. A couple of our student led groups are organizing a food drive to support our local food bank. We thank, in advance, those who elect to support our students' endeavours. Leflar earns MHSAA Athlete of the Week! The Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Payton Leflar of the Morris Mavericks volleyball team. This setter/right side led her team to victory at the Maverick's home tournament and a third place finish at the Deloraine tournament. Coach Scott Stevenson states, "Payton already understands the game better than most, and outworks the competition on a daily basis. She is a natural leader on the court and excels at both setter and right side. Her consistent play is invaluable to the team. At the start of a game, or game point, she is able to consistently perform under pressure. She’s been an integral part of her team’s success this year." This Grade 10 student maintains a 92% academic average, while also participating in badminton. Congratulations Payton as you join Cara Klippenstein as the other Maverick earning MHSAA Student-Athlete of the week so far this year! Comments are closed.
