winter Bus ScheduleTown busses are provided courtesy of RRVSD in Morris for students who must cross a major highway (#23, #75) or who live a long distance from school – This service is geared towards K-6 students. The winter town bus will start in THE MORNING of Monday, January 7. Due to weather or other factors, pick up times may vary some mornings. Students should be at their pick up location early. WISE Kid-netic Energy visits our Grade 5/6'sThanks to the initiative shown by our Grade 5/6 teachers, our students were fortunate to host the WISE Kid-Netic Energy group from Winnipeg. WISE (Women in Science & Engineering) Kid-Netic Energy is a non-profit STEM outreach organization based out of the University of Manitoba. They hire engineering or science-related undergraduate students to deliver workshops, camps, clubs and host other events. Throughout the year they see around 30 000 youth through hands-on science curriculum based activities. WISE's mandate is to ignite an interest and life-long passion of science and engineering in all youth especially those that are underrepresented in STEM fields. By the energy in the rooms this week, I believe interest was ignited! Thank you, WISE Kid-Netic Energy! Morris School is GratefulThe staff at Morris School would like to thank Mr. Brad Curtis and Mr. Darren Skög for cooking us a holiday breakfast this week. We are grateful for your service to our school community and beyond.
