last blog entry of 2022Well...just like that...the 2022 portion of the 2022-23 school year is complete. We want to thank all members of our Morris School community for their contributions for making our school a better place, for challenging us, for stretching us so we can grow, and for being supportive of us over the last four months. We wish everyone some quality time away. We look forward to seeing everyone on the 5th of January. winter break nears; celebrations continueStudent leadership group is awesome! This past week our Student Leadership Group took the initiative to organize a fun-filled week of activities with a Christmas theme. It was capped off with a lunch (more like a FEAST) for every Morris School student and staff. Students and staff stepped up to prepare, cook, and serve our community while "Santa" walked the halls. A special shoutout to the Access class who peeled over 150 pounds of potatoes this week and to Mone'e Darling for running a great kitchen, Mrs. Edel for recruiting some great volunteers, and Mr. Ian Zepik for his role as Mone'e and Mrs. Edel's right hand man on the day of the lunch. The other days included the start of the Candy Cane sales, two dress up days. We weren't able to execute the All School Bingo today due to the cancellations of classes. We look forward to spending our last three days celebrating the end of 2022 (school version). Be sure to bring a 'Tin for the Bin' this week. All food items will be donated to the Morris Food Bank.
