A Pirate Christmas - Arrrrrgggghhhh Great!!Minus the grammatical miscue in the title above, all aspects of "A Pirate Christmas" were excellent! A combination of natural talent, coaching and mentoring from Mrs. Penno and the K-4 staff, and a supportive audience allowed for many memories to be made on Thursday evening. Morris School would like to thank our student performers, Mr. Skög, Mr. Dekezel, Mrs. Keck for their help with sound, our K-4 teaching staff (Teachers and Educational Assistants) for their encouragement and patience, our art classes for assisting with set creation, Mrs. D and Mrs. Skög for set decorations, Mr. Dyck for assisting with most things involving set up and finding things that were at one time unfound, our Physical Education staff and coaches for parting with their gym for a week, and finally our Welding students assisting in moving the stage to and from the St. Jean Community Centre. As a part of their Business Finance unit, the students have created a "small business" within the school with their profits going to the school's Kids Caring for Kids and Mavs Create Change groups within the school.
