Grades 1-8 class creation - parental inputAs a school team, we will begin the creation of class lists for the Grades 1-8 classes for the 2019-20 school year. We anticipate having the following number of classes next year: Kindergarten: 2 Grades 1/2: 3 Grades 3/4: 2 Grades 5/6: 3 Grades 7/8: 3 If your student is currently in Grades 1, 3, or 5, they will have the same teacher as the current school year. If that changes, Mr. Watson will contact you directly. A variety of factors will be considered in each split grade classroom. One of the factors we consider is recommendations from parents. To be clear, we will consider parent recommendations as it pertains to a student who you feel your student would benefit by having in their class. We will not entertain teacher requests. As a school team, we will do our best to honour your requests. Please email Mr. Watson your requests. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Watson. STUDENTS MAKE CENTRAL REGION HONOUR BANDTen students participated in the Central Region Honour Band on April 5 and 6 in Carman. These students attended noon hour practices during the month of March to learn their music. On April 5 and 6 they came together with students from fifteen other schools to form the Junior and Senior Honour Bands. After only a day and a half of rehearsals with guest Band directors, the Bands each performed their four songs to a gym-packed audience on Saturday afternoon. Congratulations students for your dedication and your wonderful performances.
